How the European service works
Four countries we cover, one operating model behind all of them
MTC International Removals is a UK-headquartered removals company. Our European service is intentionally narrow — France, Italy, Spain and Portugal — because those are the four routes we run regularly, the four countries our customs paperwork is set up for, and the four destinations where we keep the same MTC team running the move from UK collection to in-country delivery.
Door-to-door means door-to-door. The crew who survey, pack and load in the UK are the crew who unload at the destination. We don’t hand over to a local agent partway through. That choice keeps the experience consistent — and removes the most common point of failure on an international move, which is the handover between operators.

MTC is a UK national-coverage brand. We collect from major cities, county towns, and rural addresses across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — and route everything through the same European operations. Where in the UK you’re moving from doesn’t change what’s possible on the destination side.
Routes regularly run from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Liverpool and onward — and from smaller towns and villages between. Removals from London to France, removals from Manchester to Spain, removals from Birmingham to Portugal, removals from Leeds to Italy, removals from Glasgow or Edinburgh to mainland Europe — all run on the same European operating model.

What MTC handles on every international move
- Pre-move survey — video or in-person, depending on move scale. The written quote follows the survey.
- Full, fragile-only, or no packing — chosen on the quote. Packing materials are included where booked.
- Customs documentation — transfer-of-residence paperwork, itemised inventory, EORI guidance, and value declarations handled in-house.
- Goods-in-transit and public liability insurance — built into the quote. High-value items declared at survey.
- Door-to-door delivery — including stairs, narrow access, and basic furniture reassembly.
- Storage — UK-side or destination-side, where the timing requires it.
- Unpacking on arrival — booked separately on the quote.
What we don’t do
- We don’t advise on visas, residency, or tax matters — that’s for your own legal or financial adviser.
- We don’t offer destinations outside our four supported countries. If your move is to Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus or further afield, we’re not the right team — and we’ll say so.
- We don’t sub-contract to local in-country agents. The MTC team running your move in the UK is the MTC team running it at the destination.
