What MTC is

MTC is a modern UK removals business. We handle the full residential and commercial removals stack — local UK moves, UK-wide relocations, office and commercial moves, packing, storage, house clearance — and a focused international service to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The four-country European focus is intentional. Removals companies that promise to deliver "worldwide" tend to do that by sub-contracting at the destination. MTC's choice is the opposite: do fewer countries, do them with our own team, and be honest about what's outside scope. If you're moving to Germany, the Netherlands, or further afield, MTC isn't the right team for the job — and we'll say so on the first call.

How we work

Every move starts with a brief and a survey. The survey is video or in-person depending on scale. The written quote sets out scope, what's included, what's optional, and what affects cost. Nothing gets booked until the quote is signed.

On the move day, the team that surveyed the property is the team that runs the move. We don't sub-contract residential moves to third-party operators. The crew that loads at the UK pickup is the crew that delivers at the destination — including on the four European routes. This is the part of the operating model we think matters most.

Throughout the move, one person at MTC is your direct contact. They handled the brief, they ran the survey, and they handle the follow-up after delivery. You don't get redirected through a call centre; you don't have to explain the job to someone different every time.

What MTC isn't

We're not the cheapest removals firm in the UK. The operating model — vetted in-house teams, insurance included, one direct contact, written quotes — costs more to run than a referral-based aggregator or a man-with-a-van. If price is the primary criterion, MTC probably won't be the lowest quote you receive.

We're also not a 50-country international moving network. Our European service is four countries, and we don't pretend to handle more.

Finally, we don't run a craft-quality, hand-curated, heirloom-grade narrative around removals work. Moves are operational — they need to run cleanly, on time, on the agreed scope. That's the bar we hold ourselves to. The narrative goes around the operating model, not the other way around.

We don't list accreditations we don't hold. We don't make up press mentions or client logos. We don't claim heritage or years-in-business numbers we can't substantiate. If we say something on this site, it's because it's accurate — and if it later turns out not to be, we'll change it.
