What's included on every move

Move with us, know what you're getting

Removals quotes can feel opaque. We try not to be. Every MTC move comes with the same baseline of written terms, insurance, and direct human contact — so there are no surprises between booking and the front door.

Itemised written quote

Every quote sets out the move scope, what we cover, and what affects cost — sent in writing before anything is booked.

Vetted in-house team

No subcontractor handovers between collection and delivery. The same MTC crew runs your move from start to finish.

Insurance built in

Goods-in-transit and public liability cover is included on every move. Higher-value items declared in the quote.

One direct contact

You speak to the same person from quote through to drop-off. No call-centre redirects, no chasing a job number.

Where we work

UK-wide coverage, with international moves from any UK address

MTC is set up as a national-coverage removals brand. We pick up from every part of the UK — from major cities and county towns to rural addresses — and deliver across the UK, or onward to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

For international moves the UK pickup origin doesn’t change what’s possible. London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff and elsewhere all run on the same European routing.

Capability by service line

How an MTC move runs

Five clear stages, one team across all of them

We try to keep the process simple to explain and easy to follow. Here’s how a move with MTC tends to run, whether it’s across town or across the Channel.

  1. Tell us about the move

Pickup and drop-off, rough scope, any specialist items, and when you’re aiming to move. A short call or the online brief is enough to get started.

  2. Pre-move survey

A surveyor walks the property (video or in person, depending on the move size) so the written quote reflects access, parking, packing volume, and special handling.

  3. Written, itemised quote

You get a written quote setting out scope, included services, what affects cost, and the contract terms. Nothing is booked until you sign off.

  4. Move day

The same vetted MTC team that scoped the move runs it on the day — packing (if booked), loading, transit, customs documentation if international, and delivery.

  5. Settling in

Unpacking, furniture reassembly, and waste removal where booked. A direct contact stays available after delivery for anything that needs a follow-up.

FAQs

Common questions, answered up front

How do I get a quote from MTC?

Send us your pickup and drop-off addresses, your rough scope, and when you’re aiming to move — either through the brief form at /quote, by email, or on the phone. A surveyor will be in touch promptly. For larger or international moves we’ll book a pre-move survey (video or in person) so the written quote reflects the real shape of the job.

Are the quotes binding, or just an estimate?

Every written quote sets out the scope, what is included, and the factors that could affect cost — for example access issues, additional items added after survey, or storage time. Once you’ve signed the quote it becomes the contract for the move. Anything outside that scope is agreed in writing before it’s added.

Do you handle international moves yourselves, or sub-contract them?

Our four supported European destinations — France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal — are handled by the same MTC team end-to-end. The crew who pack and load in the UK are the crew who deliver at the other end. We don’t hand off to local agents in destination countries; that’s an explicit choice to keep the experience consistent.

Which UK areas do you cover?

MTC works across the whole UK as a national-coverage brand. We pick up and deliver across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and we run international moves from any UK address into our four supported European countries. /areas-we-cover/ has more detail.

What's included in the quote, and what isn't?

A standard MTC quote includes the survey, the loading and transit, goods-in-transit and public liability insurance, and the delivery — including stairs, narrow access, and a reasonable amount of furniture reassembly. What sits outside scope (and is quoted separately if you want it) includes full or fragile-only packing, long-term storage, house clearance, customs handling for declared high-value items, and waste removal. The quote tells you which side of the line each item falls.

Ready to scope your move?

Tell us where you’re moving from and to, when you’d like to move, and a sentence or two about scope. We’ll come back promptly with the next step.
